Home Care

Hello, my name is Belinda and I have recently been appointed Home Care Coordinator for Echuca Community for the Aged (ECA). To me there is nothing more rewarding than empowering older people to enjoy their independence enabling enriched living in their own home and I am very excited to be setting up this new program.
I bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to this role, with over 20 years’ experience in nursing, practicing across many different settings. I stepped away from nursing in 2011 and moved on to operate a family owned local accommodation business for nearly 7 years. In this role I developed sound business management skills and built strong relationships within our local community. In 2018 I regained my enthusiasm to return to the public health system taking up a role within in Health Information Services at Echuca Regional Health (ERH).
When my grandfather of 95 years began to decline in health and require assistance at home and then later in residential care, I was keen to make a difference in people’s lives and the role as Home Care Coordinator seemed to be the right choice. This personal experience only makes me more passionate about making a difference in our ECA community and the development of a successful Home Care Program.
The introduction of the staff newsletter is a great way to stay connected and I look forward to sharing information about ECA Home Care on a regular basis. My office is located in the CD Community Centre, currently working on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Feel free to pop in and say hello!
