Principal's Post

Dear Families,

We completed our Easter celebrations with a whole school prayer service on Friday afternoon, brilliantly lead by our Year Four students.

Here is a copy for those who wish to view it - Prayer Service

Congratulations Lewis

Mrs Nadine Jones, myself and a few Year Six students ventured into MSAC to support Lewis in his state backstroke final this morning. Lewis won the event and was awarded the Gold Medal as the fastest 12/13 Year old backstroke swimmer in Victoria!

ANZAC Day

With yesterday being ANZAC Day, we celebrated with a memorial prayer service this morning at our Assembly. It's important that we remember and give thanks to those both past and present, who fought in Wars, fought for peace and dedicated their lives to keeping Australia a free and  peaceful country.

Lest we forget!

Catholic Identity Surveys

Every four years we are required to gather data on our Catholic community and compare this with past data and help set future directions in this area.

We are asking all families to take the time to complete the surveys to enable us to gather this year's data.

Please see 'Education in Faith' for further information and access to the surveys.

Entrance and Exit Gates

Our practice throughout term one was to have staff at the three gates before and after school. This commenced as a COVID safe requirement and we have enjoyed it so much that we often continue the practice.

Please note that the official supervision of students before school is with our teacher on the netball court 8.30 - 8.45am.

We have also decided to have a staff member on duty at the bottom crossing on Frank Street for student safety. When I do not have meetings or other commitments, I will often be at the top driveway gate greeting students as they arrive. On some occasions we will have staff at the Centre Rd pedestrian gate at the west end of our property.

Please note that the official supervision after school is to have a teacher at the top driveway and at the Frank Street exit.

About Real Life

This program is offered to all families and students in Years 4, 5 and 6. The facilitator, Sue Paine, is conducting the information for parents session online this Thursday evening, via the link Kayleigh Fitzgerald sent out last week. This (max) hour long session is designed to explain the content that will be covered on the in person child/parent evening and in the Year Six in class sessions held later this term. I recommend all parents of students in Years 4 - 6 to join in the google meet on Thursday evening 7 - 8pm.

We will investigate the option of recording the session but cannot guarantee that this is possible.
