Teams through to the State Finals

Each year we have a number of teams entered in the Debating Association of Victoria (DAV) statewide schools competition. We have two teams this year who will go into DAV finals. Congratulations and good luck to:

D grade 4: Amelie Sibillin 9F, India Madder 9F, Will Grage-Perry 9L, Francesca O’Leary 9F

A grade 1: Edie Bush 12H, Matilda Brown 12E, Ella Baker 12H, Noah Sutherland 12G

The A grade team are straight into Octo-finals (last 16 teams in the state). The D grade team have to win at Northcote on September 4 to proceed to the Octo finals.

Northcote will be hosting the play-offs for the DAV on the evening of September 4, when teams from about 60 schools will be coming to the school. It will be another big night of debating and offers our students the opportunity to either support our Year 9 team or watch some of the best teams in the state. Spectators and supporters are welcome.
