Jump Rope for Heart: Prep - Yr 3 only

Jump Rope for Heart kicks off this term for students in Prep, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3.

Jump Rope for Heart is a fantastic physical activity and fundraising program that has been run by the Heart Foundation for over 36 years. It’s a great way for your child to keep fit and learn new skills, but it also helps raise funds for vital heart research and education programs.

Since Jump Rope for Heart started in 1983, schools like ours have raised more than $104 million for the Heart Foundation’s lifesaving work. This year at BPS, we will be running this program for Prep-3 students. It’s important you register your child online, so they can receive the full benefits of the program and participate in online fundraising, simply follow the link below to get started. www.jumprope.org.au/parents

Students will be skipping Mondays and Fridays during the first half of lunch time. They may also wish to skip when at home.

We will hold our school Jump Off Day on Friday 18th June, this will mark the end of the program and is a chance for everyone to come together to skip and show off their newly learned skills. Further information regarding Jump Off Day will be communicated closer to the time.

Thank you for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart program! More information will be communicated through the classroom teachers.

Hot food for lunch at school

Occupational Health & Safety regulations outlined by the Department of Education, do not allow students to use microwaves at school to heat up food for lunch.   We have become aware that some of the older students are independently using the microwaves installed in the SALC kitchen.

If you would like your student to have hot food at lunch time, we are happy for them to bring preheated food in a Thermos flask.
