Music

Over the Easter break the band Soul Volume, made up of Year 11 and 12 students completing VET Music, were invited to play at a Multicultural Tucker event for seniors at the Victoria Street Bowling Club.

Since the beginning of this year, this group of 9 students have been compiling a set of 60’s/70’s classics, which they performed at the event. It was a wonderful opportunity in terms of music industry training, with the band working together to organise, set up and perform in a professional manner, which was a great experience. The gig was a success and a valuable learning opportunity for all involved.

As a result, a generous donation was made to the Ballarat High School Performing Arts Support Group, which will go directly back into the program. We would like to thank all the hard working students who performed as part of Soul Volume and our wonderful VET Music Teachers Damien Woods and Bryn Hills for supporting the band.
