MOBILE PHONE POLICY

IMPLEMENTATION at BHS

Special Note: Regarding use for Canteen Purchases

All students and parents are reminded that in accordance with the Department of Education and Training policy issued by the Minister for Education,

mobile phones (including smart watches) must not be used

during school hours including lunchtime and recess

unless an exemption has been granted by a member of the Principal Class.

This means that mobile phones, smart watches etc. brought to our school premises must be (i) turned off and (ii) placed in lockers – between 8.55am and 3.15pm each day.

The school canteen is able to accept payment for purchases by cash, EFTPOS and credit card. Please do not expect to use your mobile device for this purpose. Purchases will be refused, and consequences applied. 

Parents are asked to assist in making arrangements that do not rely on phone pay apps etc.
