SAPSASA Basketball Recap
On Tuesday 9th of August, our SAPSASA Boys and Girls Basketball teams competed against several other schools at Wayville Sports Centre. Both teams had very limited basketball playing experience. We knew that the best way to learn and make up for that was to be the hardest working and most together team on the day. Although neither team had much scoreboard success, no one could fault the effort and intent that each player played with. Our day's success was not going to be measured by wins and losses, but by how much we could learn from the experience, and how much fun we could have competing. Both Deana and myself feel as if we achieved that. Perhaps the proudest moments of the day was seeing the teams offer so much unconditional support for each other. Both our benches were full of chanting Magillians, who were genuinely happy to be a part of the day and found so much joy in seeing their classmates compete. A big thank you to the parents who came out and supported as well, and for the kids themselves for being such quality representatives of our school.
