Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey

We’d love to get lots of surveys completed by our families. If you received an invitation to complete the survey, you have until Friday 16th September to complete it.

NAPLAN Results

National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) results were released yesterday. The overall school results were outstanding. I'll share a summary in the newsletter next fortnight, once I have had the opportunity to share these results with our staff.

Parents of Grade 3 and Grade 5 children will receive an individual summary of their child's results tomorrow. Please keep an eye out for this.

Movie Night

Our Parent Club are organising an Outdoor Movie Night on Thursday 15th September. The movie will be projected onto a big screen. A reminder will be sent out on Compass closer to the date, including details of the family friendly movie to be screened. However, some important details in the meantime are as follows:

When: Thursday 15th September

Where: The Hub

Time: 6pm for a 6.30pm start

Cost: Gold coin donation

Snacks and drinks will be available from the canteen and attendees are encouraged to bring items to make their time outside warm and comfortable i.e. bean bags, picnic rugs, blankets, etc

Although some staff will be attending, families will be responsible for their children on the night.

Grade 4 Camp

I had an update from Mr Parkes earlier today and it sounds like the students, staff and parent helpers are having a great time at Camp Kookaburra. I'm not sure if having everyone awake at 5.30am this morning was part of the plans though! Please check the Grade 3/4 New page for more photos.

Junior School Excursions

Our Prep, Grade 1 and 2 children attended their major excursions today, with our Preps in Ballarat and our Grade 1 and 2's in Melbourne. They all seemed to have had a successful day, although I am sure there will be some tired children tonight!

Thanks to our staff and parent helpers for supporting these two excursions. I'm sure there will be more photos in the next newsletter.

Early School Finish End of Term

Term 3 concludes on Friday 16th September. Students will be dismissed at 2.15pm. An assembly is scheduled for 2.00pm and students will be dismissed from there. Term 4 commences on Monday, 3rd October.
