Excursion to the Spring Japanese Festival

On 21 August, Wyndham’s Year 11 & 12 Japanese classes went to the Auburn Botanic Gardens to attend the Spring Japanese Festival.

Students were gained experience of ‘Hanami’ (flower viewing) and participate in the Japanese cultural activities. Students communicated with Japanese vendors to order food in Japanese. as well as engaging in many other fun activities such as a mini golf course, origami, live shows, cherry blossom-themed food in the beautiful Japanese gardens! 🌸

Throughout the festival, students were tasked with completing a Japanese scavenger hunt in order to document their experiences and win a prize. This scavenger hunt offered many ways to keep the students engaged with the festival activities.
