Kitchen Operations - student skills
Current Year 12 students for Kitchen Operations have been completing their last practical lessons and demonstrating competencies across a range of skill sets. Our students have been working hard to produce excellent quality foods that are suitable for restaurant menus, display contemporary cooking techniques and showcase modern presentation styles.
This term students have completed cooking tasks including pastry making, producing fresh gnocchi, braising whole cuts of meat and ice cream making. These different skills cover a wide range of preparation and cookery methods and give students the basic skills needed to start a career as a chef.
