Wellbeing Report

Social and Emotional learning

At Saltwater P-9 College we believe that the Wellbeing of our students is paramount to their overall success. We strive to create an environment that promotes not only academic growth but also emotional, social and mental wellbeing.

We understand that each child comes to us with unique needs, strengths and challenges, therefore every solution is unique. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive space where students can thrive and show up as their best selves.

To support our student’s wellbeing, we have implemented various measures such as Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Programs.  SEL groups are integrated into our curriculum to help students develop self-awareness, manage their emotions, build healthy relationships, and make responsible choices and positive decisions. We work closely with the classroom teacher and the students in fostering positive peer relationships and providing the tools to help with those big emotions.

We are committed to continuously improving our efforts to promote Wellbeing in our school. Your feedback, suggestions and active involvement are always welcome as we work together to create a nurturing and empowering environment for our students.
