Arts

Students in The Arts have had the pleasure of working with the Gippsland Tech School to learn about Stop Motion Animation. Year 9 Arts Software students thoroughly enjoyed using the high-tech equipment they normally wouldn’t have the chance to use. Students are incredibly lucky to be given this opportunity.

Student Achievements!

Congratulationsto Jack for being awarded the Gippstar Junior monthly winner for the month of May 2023. Jack competes in the sport of Clay Target Shooting - Skeet with Bairnsdale Clay Target Club.

Jack competed at the National Skeet Titles in Wagga Wagga. The event ran for 7 days over various Skeet events and sub gauges. Jack competed and represented Victoria in the junior skeet team under 18 and also made the Australian shoulder to shoulder junior team that competed against New Zealand in a postal shoot. His results over results over 7 days were 11 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.

At the start of this year Jack competed at the Victorian State Skeet Titles in both C grade and as a Junior (under 18). He won the 28 gauge event in C grade and was second in Juniors (under 18).

Jack made the Victorian State shoulder to Shoulder Junior Skeet team to represent Victoria at the National Skeet titles. He competed in the Junior Postal team and won the high gun for that event. Jack shot consistently enough over the four days of competition to be awarded the overall High gun for C grade for the event.

Fantastic achievements Jack!
