Day 2 of the Year 3 & 4 X-country skiing provided another great day of skiing and sunshine. Today, with reduced snow conditions, students walked from the carpark to the Nordic Ski Bowl, where they practised skiing down with no poles through a slalom course. There was even time for a snow ball fight, before students had one last ski, traversing their back to Windy corner.
Due to expected very high winds, tomorrow's Year 5/6 downhill skiing event has been postponed until next week. In light of the long-range forecast and diminishing snow, we are now seeking to bring forward some of our skiing days and will provide families with information about any changes asap.
Many thanks to Emily for her organisation of yesterday's music event and congratulations to all the students in Prep - 3 and the choir on their peformances, which provided plenty of entertainment for their audience! Thank you to the year 4 students for their assistance and also to those families who came along to support this event.
Please join us next Wednesday for the Book Parade and Book Fair! The day is all about books and as well as dressing up as our favourite characters, throughout the day students will also be participating in whole school activities linked to short-listed books. If you require assistance with a costume, please speak to your child's teacher.
Next week, parents and carers will receive a link, inviting them to participate in the annual Parent Opinion Survey. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate, as our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
