Dear Parents,

Whole School Character Strength - Perseverance

In Week 5, our school will focus on the Character Strength of Perseverance.

Perseverance is the driving force that transforms challenges into triumphs, defeats into victories. It's the willingness to keep pushing forward, even when the path seems uncertain. So, as you navigate life's twists and turns, remember that the power of perseverance resides within you, ready to guide you toward greatness.

At St Francis Xavier we aim to instill this character strength in our students to encourage them to persevere through adversity both academically and through challenges faced in everyday life. We promote a growth mindset and wish to see every one of our students live up to their full potential through perseverance.

During PDHPE lessons this week, students will also be learning about the character strength of gratitude and will be completing a variety of activities to understand its meaning and importance.

Character Strength Awards

Congratulations to our Stage Three students who received their character strength awards for Term Three at their Stage Assembly. It was so positive to see our senior leaders celebrate their achievements and positive strengths in front of our parent and student community.

A huge congratulations to our students who competed in the Conference 2 Athletics Carnival. These students competed in many events against various schools. They are to be commended for their effort and we are all very proud of their achievements.

A special mention to Romeo Coelho who has qualified for the Mackillop Athletics Carnival. We wish Romeo all the best as he represents St Francis Xavier at the next level.
