Wellbeing update

Welcome to Term 3! The Wellbeing team have had a very busy start to Term 3. We are looking forward to moving into our new Wellbeing space in a couple of weeks. This will provide us greater resources to continue offering one on one and group support for our students

Breakfast Club Relaunch – Friday’s from 8:15am

The Wellbeing Team and the Food Tech Team have been working hard this to re-invigorate Koonung’s Breakfast Club program.  By moving it to a more central location, it has made it easier for all students to access. Our goal was to create an open and inclusive space for students and staff to start their day off by coming together to socialise and share in some delicious breakfast options.

A special thank you to the Food Tech Team; Sarah Lane, Anna Buzzi and Allison Hart who have given up their time and resources to work with our team to make this relaunch so successful – we would not have been able to do this without their help. It has been wonderful seeing so many students and staff each week spending time together before the start of their school day.

Come along to Breakfast Club every Friday morning from 8:15am-8:40am in the Food Tech rooms. All students and staff welcome

Monday Funday - Mondays at lunch time in A Block

Monday Funday is a lunch time club just for Year 7 students – come along and play some board games and puzzles and have the opportunity to socialise with other students outside of your class.

Wellbeing Wednesdays: Lunchtime A2

Wellbeing Wednesday is open to all students and aims to promote student wellbeing in a variety of ways. Run with the assistance of the Wellbeing Captains, activities are different each week and might include craft, mindfulness, movement, trivia, games, chill out space as well as guest speakers.

This week we had Headspace Hawthorn join us to make stress balls!
