What's cooking....
Food Studies Unit 2
Connor Harper-Kerrigan 11C
Yesterday, my fellow students and I experienced the unexpected trauma induced through cooking for a larger number of people whilst trapped beneath the weight of a time limit, and the impending arrival of our next class. Despite this, the practical activity made possible by "Every Plate" received positive reviews all across the board, some even going as far as to say it was their "favourite prac of all time".
In my personal opinion, learning about the topic of 'The Influence of consumer demand on our food supply' in a room enriched with the various aromas from all across the world was definitely an experience to remember.

Year 8 Food Technology
Year 8 students have had their inductions into the kitchen as part of Food technology. This is their first time using our facilities. Students have been learning about safety and hygiene and applying knowledge in practical classes. Students have been building positive relationships with their peers using team work. You can see in this image some innovative thinking with students in 8F creating an apron train to help each other get ready for their Bruschetta Practical class!
