Hi everyone,

We’re thrilled to be hosting a workshop and performance heat as part of the Australian Poetry Slam! Both events will be hosted by poet Ren Alessandra at Melton Library.

The workshop next is Thursday 3rd August 6pm – 8pm, the heat will take place the following day on Friday 4th August at Melton Library. Poet registrations are from 6pm with the event beginning at 6.30pm. Community members can attend the heat as a poet/performance or as an audience member 😊 Two performers will be chosen by audience members on the night to move onto the Victorian Final, with National Finals being held at the Sydney Opera House.

All ages are welcome to enter and attend Australian Poetry Slam, however children under 12 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

I would love if you could promote these events to your school community, particularly any poetry/writing groups you may have!
