Netball Club

Thank you to all the players that have registered for the 2019 netball season and attended grading and fitness sessions over the past few weeks. We appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules and weekends to accommodate these sessions which are important to starting the netball season on the right foot!

 

Now that grading has been completed teams will be looked at by the grading coordinators.

 

Refunds for withdrawal will no longer be considered.

 

Minor variations to teams over the first couple of training weeks is to be expected with final teams announced in early April.

Games commence weekend of the 4 & 5 May.

Training

Training for Years 7 – 12 commences next week.

  • Tuesday 26 March 3:30pm – 5:00pm Years 10, 11 and 12.
  • Thursday 28 March 3:30pm – 5:00pm Years 7, 8 and 9.

Training is a compulsory component of netball.  Coaches go to a great deal of effort to plan training sessions and game day strategies.

 

If you have a valid reason for not attending a particular training session please contact your coach or email the club at johnxxiiicnc@gmail.com.

 

School sports uniform and appropriate sports shoes are required to be worn to training sessions.

Uniforms

The official game day netball uniform for senior school is

  • Netball dress which is available at the John XXIII Uniform Shop and
  • Blue and yellow bloomers which will be on sale at the last training sessions for term on the 9 & 11 April 2019 ($15 each cash only). 

Rain jackets, which are not compulsory but perfect for the winter weather, will also be on sale ($110 cash only).

 

PNA can issue uniform violations to players not wearing the correct uniform.

 

There is stock of the netball dress so please get in early to the uniform shop and ensure that you have one ready for the start of the season. A new order can take up to eight weeks.

 

All players are to note that under no circumstance can jewellery be worn on court during game play.

 

Umpires will ask players to leave the court and injury substitution rules will apply.
