Year 12 HSC Support Evening
Thursday evening saw a large number of Year 12 students and their parents attend this event. The proceedings began with Angela Morris emphasising the importance of study plans and timetables. Betsy Farrugia presented some useful career resources and information, most of which become available for students on the Careers Google Classroom.
Josie Marks, the School Engagement Office with TAFE NSW, spoke of the myriad pathways to university and bachelor degrees that can be studied at TAFE. Many vocational courses are available through a variety of study options. She is available for students and parents to speak to, and her contact details will be on the Classroom.
Patrick O'Connor, Domestic Student Recruitment Coordinator from University of Wollongong, outlined life at university at UOW and generally, went through the changes at UAC regarding number of preferences allowed and offer dates. He also gave a detailed run down of the early entry process.
Heath Neville closed with attitudes for success. "I'm good....and getting better"
