Sickbay
Liliane Karidis
First Aid Officer
Our school takes the health and wellbeing of students, staff and the community very seriously. We are proud to advise the school community that we have purchased a Defibrillator to ensure we are prepared in the case of a serious medical emergency. It is located in the sickbay. We would like to thank the Dingley Bendigo Bank for fully funding this purchase.
Defibrillation is a treatment for life-threatening cardiac arrest. A defibrillator delivers a dose of electric current (often called a countershock) to the heart. All staff have been trained in First Aid and CPR and we believe a Defibrillator at our school will further increase the chance of survival in an emergency. It is wonderful to be able to offer our staff, children, parents and local community peace of mind knowing that, should anyone ever need it, we have a defibrillator in our school.
Thank you again to the Dingley Bendigo Bank.
If you have any queries regarding the Defibrillator, please do not hesitate to contact me or the school.
