Principal: Steve Twomey

Hi everyone, and welcome to the 2022 school year.

I am Steve Twomey, the school Principal, and I have been part of the Holy Family School community for ten years. 

I came into teaching a bit later than most people. I was an electrician until I went to uni and started my teaching degree at 34 years old. So I have been a teacher for around 26 years. For most of the 26 years, I have either been a Deputy Principal or a Principal. I got into school leadership because I wanted to help all the children in a school, not just the ones I was teaching.

I love being at Holy Family School. We have wonderful children and a wider community here. We also have school staff who are passionate about teaching the children at our school.

My photo is of my wife (we have been married for 36 years) and me on the New South Wales coast.I have seen quite a bit of Australia from my motorcycle. From the coast to the deserts and mountains, there is an excellent variety of natural wonders to see.

I hope all the children and their families enjoy learning a bit about the staff at Holy Family School, and I am looking forward to a year with the children here on site for the whole school year.
