A Student’s Prayer for a New School Year

Lord Jesus, I ask for Your help as I begin this new school year.

Allow me to experience Your presence in the many blessings You put before me.

Open my eyes to the new challenges and exciting opportunities that this new school year brings.

Open my heart and mind to new friends and new teachers.

Give me a generous spirit to be enthusiastic with my studies and courage to accept new challenges.

Help me to be attentive to my teachers and let me experience Your presence in my new friends.  Jesus, inspire me to do my best this year!

Amen.

Condolences to the Moylan Family - Felicity Moylan (former Sacred Heart Kew student)

We extend our condolences to the Moylan family (Fred 3MS) on the passing of his sister Felicity, who died in January.

Felicity was a much loved past student of Sacred Heart Kew who graduated in 2020 and attended Genazzano FCJ College (Year 7 last year). Felicity had a long and brave battle with cancer, having ongoing treatment and health issues since being diagnosed with cancer in 2016.

As a school and community, we were truly fortunate to have shared some of Felicity’s life.  We were truly blessed to have learnt from her, to have felt her energy and presence in our lives, to witness the good and bad times, during her primary school years.

Felicity was an inspiration to all those she met. Felicity had an infectious smile, a gentle and kind soul, and despite her health concerns, lived a full and happy life.

On behalf of the Sacred Heart Kew school community we send our deepest sympathies to Dan, Dom and Fred and the extended Moylan family. Our thoughts, prayers and support continue to be with the Moylan family at this time.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May Felicity rest in peace.

Love from the Sacred Heart Kew school staff and community.
