Adelaide Writers' Week 5-10 March 2022 is coming! 

This is a two day eventcoming over the first weekend of Marchincorporating children's and young adult programs!

 

Saturday 5th March is the Kids Day for ages 2-11 years old with various comedy and story telling.  Sunday 6th March is aimed at the Middle Grades and YA audiences and others interested in Slam and Spoken Word Poetry.

 

 All programs are free!  Please refer to the flyers attached for more information.

MarionLIFE Youth is a youth drop-in space for local 10-17 year olds operating in our Youth Centre building between 3:00pm-5:30pm on Fridays after school. We start back on 18 February and continue each Friday during school terms providing a safe place to ‘hang-out’ with fun activities, life skills workshops and a healthy light meal.  All free!

 The opportunity is provided to access information about other relevant support services. We look forward to seeing you there, 887 Marion Rd, Mitchell Park (enter at rear).

A free Financial Wellbeing Service is provided on site at MarionLIFE by Uniting Communities. This service offers independent and confidential advice and programs designed to help you better manage your finances.

NUTRITION EDUCATION!  Learn to cook easy, cheap and healthy meals with our free NEST program! Our cooking and nutrition program is designed to help you make lasting changes for better health. MarionLIFE and Junction are co-hosting OzHarvest’s NEST program, starts on 8 February and runs for six weeks.

 Together we’ll learn:

·                     How to save money on your food budget

·                     How to store food safely

·                     How to understand food labels

·                     New food knowledge and cooking skills

·                     How to plan meals to reduce food waste

 At the end of the program you’ll also receive a certificate, take home resources, and your own copy of the OzHarvest Everyday Cookbook.
