Things to see, read and hear

In every issue of our newsletter, we will select some videos, articles or podcasts that we recommend to our families to broaden your knowledge base.

January offers us some extra time to read and reflect, and there are a few wonderful books that can have a huge impact on every one that is looking to lead a more fulfilling life.  The first is called 'Fear Less: How to win at life without losing yourself', by Dr. Pippa Grange. This fascinating and informative book looks at how we perceive and can overcome fear to better ourselves as people. This book was used by the players at the Richmond Football Club during their recent premiership successes from 2017 through to 2020 and gives some real-life examples as well as the science to back her research on how we can overcome the fear that can cripple us.

The second book is called 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear, and is a tremendously effective look at how small changes that every person is capable of making can lead us to significant gains, regardless of whether it is weight loss, learning a new language, or becoming the best version of ourselves.

He uses detailed and current research to explain the psychology and neuroscience behind the suggestions that any person can follow.
