Extra Curricular Activities

Below are some of the recess and lunch time clubs that are held at the school each week. All students are most welcome to attend any of the clubs. If you have any questions please contact the appropriate Club Co-ordinator.

Embrace your creative side and join Art Club, which is held every Wednesday at both Recess and Lunch time in B10. If you have any questions please contact Miss Schinzig.

 

 

Chess Club is on every day during both recess and lunch time in the Library.  

 

New tournaments start regularly. As soon as one is finished, the next one starts! For more information please contact Mr De Lima.

 

Year 7s and 8s division: 

 

After four rounds of competitive Chess, Chelsea Welbourne remained undefeated and became our first champion in 2022.  Lennox Walker took the second spot after an intense, back-and-forth match against Chelsea.

Mikayla Bailey and Sinsarut 'Q' Chitkanwong will be battling it out for third place. 

 

In the Open Secondary division:

 

Brendan Finch secured a place in the final after a tough match against Bailey Booth. Brendan now awaits the winner of Daniel Isa vs Lachlan Collier

Are you passionate about world issues and how these issues impact on minority groups in our community? If so, come along to the Don't Hate, Advocate! Social Justice Club atlunch time on Thursdays. If you have any questions please see Miss Erjavec.

Drama Club commences next Monday, 21st February. Look out for posters around the school and stay tuned for more information from Mr Bergshoeff.

In Philosophy Café, we discuss life, the universe and everything over a biscuit. Topics include how minds, bodies and souls interact, the ethical use of animals and whether people can really be evil. Philosophy Café is the perfect place to discuss life’s big issues. Every Monday at lunch time in B12. Please contact Miss Ward for more information.

The SLC is made up of motivated students from Years 7-12 who care about the school environment and want to make a difference, both within the College and in the community. They plan and organise a range of fundraisers, College activities and school improvements on behalf of the student body. Speak to Miss Sloan for more details.

 

The SLC meet on Thursdays at Recess in B5. 

Join STEM Club and have fun every Thursday at Recess in B13. Build projects, 3D printing, electronics, robotics, games, discuss Science and Technology and conduct experiments. Contact Mr Lim for more information.
