A message from the Principal
The start of the school year has been somewhat different, but I have been very pleased with the way in which students and staff have settled into the new school year. We have air purifiers operating in a number of classrooms. Students are adapting well to the wearing of masks indoors, while the use of hand sanitiser, Rapid Antigen Tests and maximising ventilation within learning spaces all help to minimise the risk of infection.
Education is a partnership. Our relationship with our community is something that is highly valued within the school. I urge parents and carers to contact their child’s team or sub school leader if they have any concerns. We are here to help and offer assistance as it is required.
SCHOOL COUNCIL ELECTIONS
I am now calling for nominations for parent representatives of the School Council of Pakenham Secondary College. The School Council provides important support and direction to the College. I urge you to consider being part of this important group. Nomination forms can be collected from Jackie Stewart at the front office and need to be returned by 4pm on Monday February 21, 2022. Further information is included within the newsletter (in the Important Notices section).
NOTICE OF ELECTION AND CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
An election is to be conducted for members of the school council of Pakenham Secondary College.
Nomination forms may be obtained from the school and must be lodged by 4.00pm on Monday 21/02/2022.
The ballot will close at 4.00pm on Monday 07/03/2022.
The terms of office, membership categories and number of positions in each membership category open for election are as follows.

Following the closing of nominations a list of the nominations received will be posted at the school.
If the number of nominations is less than the number of vacancies, a notice to that effect and calling for further nominations will be posted in a prominent position at the school.
