Cultural Liaison News

Carevan is back!

Last year we were unable to deliver our services to the community, due to Covid-19 restrictions. Our luck has changed this year, where restrictions have been eased and students are able to give back to the community.

New students from the Community Action team were able to participate this term, so on Wednesday, 9th March we started our great service of 'CAREVAN'. It was great to see the variety of different staff and students who volunteered their time and efforts to get behind the meal preparation for CAREVAN. The start of the year has been extremely busy, but we were still able to continue our contribution and efforts to assist those less fortunate within our community.

I would like to thank our staff and students who devoted their time and efforts on the day, and it was great to see the cheerful smiles, and hear the joy in the laughs of our wonderful volunteers.Faith and service in action

IT Session with our local senior citizens

Next Term, we will be running an IT Session with our local Senior Citizens to help support and assist our seniors of how to use a social media platform to communicate with their families and friends, by using a computer, IPAD and an Android smartphone. It's been two years since this initiative took place and it's been a very difficult time for our Senior Citizen's and this would be beneficial for both the Seniors and Students to interact. This IT program will be organised by our IT Specialist/Teacher Mr Lee Summerville and the students from our Community Action Team, along with Mr Abdala and Mrs Lole.

The Senior Festival will kick off this Friday, with detailed information of the program on the flyer below; Please let your families, friends and neighbors know who can benefit from this program.
