Speech For Orientation Day!  Bhavleen Kaur

Good afternoon parents, teachers and year 6 students. My name is Bhavleen Kaur and I

 am a year 7 student at Marian Catholic College. Today I will be telling you why Marian Catholic College is a great high school and what I have done in the past few weeks. 

Some of the fun and exciting things in Marian Catholic College are school sport teams, competitions and making new friends. Marian is a great high school because there are lots of activities to participate in, you can make lots of new friends, the teachers are great and the learning environment is amazing. 

High School was a rollercoaster for me. On the first day of high school I was nervous because I didn’t know anyone but in the end I made friends. I have tried out and participated in lots of different events for school such as the maths competition and one of the members for the Indian subcontinent group for harmony day. In the past few weeks I have made lots of food for technology, played sports games in PDHPE and wrote a fantasy story for English. 

There are lots of other activities to participate in such as the swimming carnival, soccer, netball, Cross Country and many more. 

I feel that I am very lucky and proud to be at this school. I know that I can get a really good education from being at Marian Catholic College and being here will help me to grow into a confident and intelligent human being. I also hope that it will make you feel the same way.
