“God, may Your light guide my day, and your spirit bring me peace. Amen.” “God, may my sacrifice of today of (state your Lenten sacrifice) remind me of my dependence on You for all the blessings I enjoy. Amen.”

Dear Parents, Students and Friends

The spread of Covid throughout the school and the community of Griffith has led to the decision to cancel the Term 1 Yr 7 2023 Transition Day. We apologise for this, however it is too risky to bring students on site at the moment. We are planning for next term to resume the experience for students.

We did however have a very successful Enrolment Information Evening for Year 7 2023 and had a good number of prospective parents and students take a walk around the school. A highlight was showing everyone our new technology building, which will be occupied at the start of next term.

Floods in NSW

Please keep in your prayers the thousands of people who have had their homes and businesses destroyed by the floods. Trinity College at Lismore went completely under. Everything at the school was lost. I shudder when I think about the impact this would have on a school community. I have family members who are living through this ordeal as you may also. Please spend a moment in prayer that they can find the strength to carry on.

Congratulations Sr Theresa

On Wednesday 2 March Ash Wednesday we held our opening College mass. It was held outdoors and was a beautiful celebration.  We were honoured to celebrate the 60th Jubilee of Mercy Sister Sr Theresa Foley. Sr Theresa participates in many events at MCC and we are thankful for all that she contributes to our College community.  It was a pleasure to acknowledge such an amazing dedication to her religious life.

Peace and Best Wishes
