Congratulations to all our Maffra secondary students who competed at the Interschool Gymkhana on Wednesday the 23rd of February! These girls collectively did so well competing with they’re pony pals. The riders representing our school were none other than Jaylah Heywood, Killara Heywood, Montana Robinson, Rose Jones, Emily Howden, Lacey Bowker, Chelsea Adams, Julia Reti, Maddy Dalton, Dimity Hague and Nickyra Burley.
A special mention goes to: Montana Robinson Year 8 competing on Ranger. She placed 4th in first round of 60cm Show Jumping, 1st in the second round of 60cm Show Jumping, 5th in the Bending, 6th place in Obstacle Course.
Lacey Bowker Year 8, competing on Flash. She placed 1st in the Bending Race, 3rd in Show Jumping, 3rd in the Obstacle Course, 4th in the Mug Race and won the Year 8 Reserve Champion.
Nickyra Burley Year 12 competing on Tonto. She placed 1st in the Best Presented, 1st in the one round stakes Show Jumping 90cm, 2nd in the Mug Race, 3rd in the Rider Class, 3rd in Bending and won the High Point Champion in 2021 and 2022.
A BIG thank you to all the parents and helpers who volunteered on the day taking time off work to support their child and spending countless hours preparing for the day.
