From the Director of Student Culture & Character Development

On Tuesday, 22nd March, Year 11 students will be taking part in an incursion called Respectful Relationships. This will be an all-day incursion at School run by David and Katie Kobler. David has a Bachelor of Theology and Katie has an advanced diploma in Psychological Science.

Sessions will including the following topics:

  • Relationships – the key ingredients to experiencing healthy relationships and identifying red flags and unhealthy relationship behaviours.
  • Sexual Decision Making – understanding what sex is for, why our society is obsessed with it and how to make decisions rather than simply respond to circumstance.
  • Pornography – a scientific discussion about the harmful impact that pornography can have both personally and relationally.
  • Consent & Sexual Ethics – the legalities around consent as well as how to build a healthy sexual ethic in a hyper-sexualised society.
  • Identity & Pressures – how to navigate the pressures within youth culture and unhealthy stereotypes in hyper-sexualised society.
  • Love – what love is and isn’t.

Stage 4 Parents/Students:   Save the Date/Time:  28th March, 7:00pm

School Photograph Day - Friday, 1st April

I encourage all parents to support each other and your purchases by ensuring your children are dressed in immaculate and formal school uniform. Students will be photographed in blazers (no jumpers) so please ensure your child’s blazer has buttons. Girls will need to wear short yellow socks with their skirts.

There is still plenty of time to arrange for that conventional haircut for your child.

All parents/students are reminded that the uniform rules will be strictly adhered to – we do not want to be placed in the position where we need to remove any student from the photographs due to poor presentation.

Thank you for your co-operation.
