House News - Leonis

Ash Fraraccio - House Leader

Our 2021 College Captain and Dux in her final speech to the school spoke with compelling sincerity and a knowledge of the sacrifices required for success when she declared, “failing to plan is planning to fail”.  This is a message that is certainly true and valid to life in Leonis Homerooms.  The first few weeks has been dedicated to setting healthy routines for study and extracurricular activities, formulating real goals and establishing the foundation for success and prosperity in all facets of school life in 2022. We’ve enjoyed ice-breakers, getting to know you games and some light inter-homeroom competitions.  With a second place in the Aquatics Carnival, the winged lion of Leonis is starting to purrrrrrrrrr.  Hear the roar!

Hi guys!  This is Shayne, one of the Leonis House Captains for 2022.  I'm so excited to work along side my house this year (despite it including activities which are typically outside my comfort zone).  We've already had our Aquatics Carnival and I'm so proud of Leonis for getting 2nd place - leaving us in a great starting position and setting ourselves up to do well later in the year.  I hope everyone will get up and strive for the best they can this year.  Year 12 is such a special year as I have learnt, and I am so happy I get to spend it helping the house and the school for the better.

Shayne Fisher – House Captain

Hello everyone, for those of you who don't know me my name is Anthony and I am one of the 2022 Leonis House Captains.  I'm really excited to cooperate with the Leonis house and every student throughout the course of the year.  2022 has started off positively.  Last week we had our annual Aquatics Carnival and I'm proud to say that Leonis placed second. This has been such a huge milestone for Leonis and to see consistency within the house competitions is invigorating and refreshing.  Alongside the carnival, Year 12s were able to attend the retreat where we had the opportunity to rekindle old friendships as well as strengthen relationships, I urge you to please use this time to reflect, take a mental break, and gradually catch up with any missing work.  Today we initiate our first Student Representative Council meeting for the year.  I look forward to working with the other members and if you have any concerns please feel free to send through a message to either myself or the other members. Cheers everyone, here's to a a great year! Lots of love, Anthony.
