Principal's report 

I would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which Kalinda Primary school gathers, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. I would like to pay my respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.

Welcome Barbecue

On Thursday 5th May (Term 2, Week 2) we will hold a Welcome Barbecue after school. This will be a lovely opportunity for families to come to school, meet one another and enjoy some time together. Families are welcome to bring their own picnics or buy a sausage at the barbecue. This is an annual event that normally takes place at the beginning of the year but due to the restrictions in place at the time has been rescheduled for Term 2.

Further details will be sent out closer to the date.

Parent-Teacher Interviews

Parent-Teacher Interviews will be conducted during week 11 (last week of the Term). This is an important part of our formal feedback cycle to parents about student learning. The interviews will be conducted via Webex and booking information will be sent out next week.

School Council Elections

Thank you so much to our school community for your engagement with our School Council election. I am extremely grateful to the nominees who put their hands up for the election and to everyone who voted. We had more than 100 parents cast votes in the election.

2023 Enrolments

Enrolments are now open for 2023. It would be great to start receiving your enrolment forms for students beginning in Foundation (or at other levels next year). The sooner we receive enrolments, the sooner we can begin planning for next year.
