Community circle - written by Addison & Ctayah

Community Circle time is where the class will form a circle/oval and talk about lot of different things to learn about each other. We start with a question and there is a talking item to pass around when it is your time to talk. The group is then mixed up and we do small group of individual tasks like problem solving, writing or maths problems.  After reflecting we also have an energiser [games] to close the circle. Two of our favourite energisers are Chinese whispers with a twist and Speed Ball. Some of the questions that we might answer to learn more about each other are “What is our favorite animal?”

Addison likes circle time because it is fun and she gets to know people better.

Ctayah loves circle time and it is super fun!

Goal work/reflecting - Lexi & Justin

This term we have been doing our reflecting/ goal work and what we are proud of.

With our reflecting we looked at what we have done in our books and talked about why we are proud of it e.g. I really enjoyed this work because it is neat, organised and shows how much I improved. We have also set our goals for each subject like proof reading and editing our work, which has been selected by a lot of students because we are writing narratives. Reflecting has really helped with our school this year.

I am proud of getting faster at writing narratives and over writing tasks. - Justin.

I am proud of my narratives because I am finding they are making more sense. - Lexi.
