Notes from the office

Thank you

A big thank you to Paul Quinn for screwing some signs on the fence and gas enclosure and to Claire for her ongoing work in the Environment Centre.

Also a thank you to Heidilee Freeman for sewing up a rip in the school's big parachute.  I am sure the kids will look forward to using this again.

New Blower

Thanks Merryn
Thanks Merryn

A huge thank you to Merryn Coughlin who asked Bunnings for a donation of a blower for school.

Bunnings were forthcoming with her request and we now have a great tool to help keep the paths and outdoor areas clean.

School Sores

There has been a report of impetigo (school sores).  Please keep an eye on your children for any of the signs listed below.  If your child presents with symptoms please take them to your doctor.

Signs and symptoms of impetigo

The sores can be anywhere on the body, but are often on the face near the mouth and nose, or on the arms and legs.

  • Impetigo may start with a blister or a group of blisters.
  • The blister bursts leaving a patch of red, wet, weepy skin.
  • The sore usually becomes coated with a tan or yellowish crust, making it look like it has been covered with honey.
  • There can be small spots around the first sores, spreading outwards.
  • There is often superficial peeling on the edge of the sore.
  • Impetigo is usually itchy.
