North West Swimming Carnival….
Gideon Webster has just broken a record down at the pool in the 17-19 years 50m boys freestyle with a time of 25.25s.
Unbelievable effort Gideon, well done.
Also a big congratulations to all our student participants, fantastic effort that you made it this far. We will keep you updated very soon with some more results to follow.
ASC had 28 students in year 9 & 10 that were official timekeepers for both the North West Carnival days. They were all fantastic and very essential to the successful running of the carnivals. Great job students.
Thank you also to all the staff for their hard work they put in to make the carnival days run smoothly, it is very much appreciated a great team effort
Our School Captains, Lillian and Casey had the opportunity to meet Her Excellency Margaret Beazley, the Govenor of NSW at Government House in Sydney. They also rubbed shoulders with our local member, Adam Marshall.

Some more fantastic achievements for Caleb Bettison Yr 11 & Jordan Pattison Yr 11.
Caleb ran the 2000m Steeplechase on Friday April 1st & not a great race as there was no pace & the jumps were very congested & it became a massive learning curve for him on Sunday April 3 Caleb raced the 3000m & was placed in the first of two timed finals & Caleb left it all out on the track winning his heat & running a 9 second PB to give him every chance of winning a medal but unfortunately the second race was quicker. Caleb’s results were the 7th best in Australia in both events & the first across the line by any NSW athlete in both events.
Jordan also ran on the Friday April 1 in his 800m & was drawn in the last of three heats & with a format of the first two athletes from each heat going through to the final & then the next two fastest, being in heat three they knew what they were chasing but it wasn’t meant to be & with a very slow pace Jordan needed to finish in the top 2 but with a pack mentality Jordan got spiked a few times & couldn’t grab a top two finish. Jordan finished 21st in Australia which is fantastic for his first ever National Championships.
Well done boys
Congratulations to the students who have been selected in the North West Football Team they go away in May at Bathurst Congrats and good luck.
