School Advisory Council

Over the coming weeks, we are going to share a brief bio of our School Advisory Council Members.
This week: Carly Avery
About Me:
I have had the privilege of working at St. Joseph’s for the last four years. Prior to this, I worked in London, Melbourne, Darwin and North East Victoria. These roles have included teaching, leadership roles and working in the Catholic Education Office.
Why I am on/ value the School Advisory Council:
I hold high value for the work that our School Advisory Council does. The mix of backgrounds that the Council brings to the table adds value to our processes as a staff. Underpinning the work we do is the sense of what is best for our students and our parents and staff. They are a great sounding board for a range of topics and assist in future planning such as Master Planning.
What do you love about St. Joe’s:
I love and feel very fortunate to be a part of this community. The sense of partnership from all cannot be understated. Whenever I do a tour for prospective parents I talk about what lovely students we have here, something I have been aware of since my first day. This comes from our families that instil strong values and are lived by staff and parents also.
