Principal's Report

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

On Monday we gathered to remember Saint Mary MacKillop, Australia’s first Saint. Thank you to Markeeta Green for organising mass, and Father Mike for leading us in our celebration. Thank you also to Pete Humphreys and the choir for the time you spent preparing for this mass. It was great to see some parishioners and parents join us for morning tea, organised beautifully by Linda Murcutt, Irene Sharp and the Mary and Brigid group.

A reminder that this Friday 12th August is a Pupil Free day. Staff will be working with Maria Forde, Catholic Education Sandhurst, on a Catholic Identity focus.

It has been great to see so many families browsing and purchasing literature at our Book Fair this week. A reminder that this is running until this Thursday.

As a school, we will celebrate Book Week in week seven, with our Book Week Parade to take place on Friday 26th August.

100 Days of School

This week our Foundation students reach the milestone of 100 days at school. On Monday our Foundation and Year One students will celebrate this achievement. Please refer to the communication sent home yesterday. Congratulations to our Foundation students on this occasion!

Trivia Night

All parents are invited to our Trivia Night on Saturday 27th August. This will take place at Tanswell from 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start.

This is a great opportunity to reconnect with parents and staff, and perhaps meet some new parents in our community.

Please register tables of six by returning the note sent home today to school by Wednesday 24th August.
