Overview OSHC Program

During week 5 we began a new focus of ‘Art and Craft’. The children really enjoyed the hands on experiences and ideas blossomed! The children’s fine motor skills were tested with the use of paints, glue, textas, pencils and scissors. The children were involved in making new signs for our second room with the ‘My Time, Our Place’ curriculum as well as signs for the OSHC Side Show Alley stall.  They have also been learning safety skills about the OSHC phone system  emergency situations.

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU!!! To all of the school and OSHC community for supporting our stand at the Schools Side Show Alley! We sold out of everything except for a couple of crackles!!  We made a fantastic profit of $1,090.10!!! This money will be put towards our OSHC garden in 2016!  Thank you !!!

As part of the National Quality Framework, the Education and Early Childhood Services Registration and Standards Board of South Australia is planning to commence an assessment and rating cycle at LNPS OSHC.

An authorised officer will be visiting the OSHC service on Tuesday 24th November 2015, to observe practice, engage in discussions with Children, Families and Educators and sight relevant documentation. The purpose of the assessment and rating process is to determine whether, and at what rating level, the OSHC service meets the National Quality Standard and requirements.

As part of our Quality Improvement Plan we are constantly reviewing our service and thinking of different ways to improve, change or extend upon our ideas/ facilities. If you have any ideas or feedback please feel free to communicate these with an educator or the Director.
