Side Show Alley

What a spectacular event it was last Thursday night. Well done to all our students and staff for putting together a huge variety of stalls and activities. There was definitely a ‘Side Show’ feeling to the evening. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped out and the families that attended to support our students and make Side Show Alley a success.

School Opinion Survey

During term 4 South Australian schools survey their school community to gain valuable information regarding the school. This year we will once again use the School Survey Program provided by DECD to manage the process. Families will be randomly selected to complete the survey. Families selected will be sent an email and a unique code to access the survey. Emails will be distributed in the coming days and the survey will be open until Friday 4th December. Information gathered will be used by the staff and Governing Council to assist in future planning.

Governing Council

The Governing Council at Lockleys North Primary School is a hard working group of parents and staff who work collaboratively to provide a quality learning environment for your children. Its members are responsive to any issues that arise and their role is to determine the views of our local community with regards to the educational needs of the school. The Governing Council advises the Principal of these views and needs.

We have 5 vacancies and are now calling for nominations from members of the school community to stand for Council. Councillors elected serve for two years.  Meetings are for about 2 hours (7.00-9.00pm) twice a term. Nomination forms are attached to this newsletter and available from the Office. If you would like further information in regards to Governing Council please email tyson.grinham428@schools.sa.edu.au

Nominations are to be forwarded to Tyson Grinham and are due by Monday 23rd November 2015. There will be an election of people after this date in which the whole school community is provided a voting slip if we have more nominations than vacancies. We encourage parents to get involved and stand for election to Council.
