By the end of next week students will have completed two cycles of work per subject area. With Assessment Tasks forthcoming it can be at this point in the Term where students struggle to prioritise Tasks and meet deadlines. For our boys organisation and time management are the key to their success. I encourage boys to use their school diary to record Classwork and Assessment Tasks due dates to assist their prioritisation of tasks.
Although time is provided in class for these Tasks, all students should have a study schedule outside of school to contribute to their work, finish off Tasks, proofread and edit so they are submitting quality work completed to the best of their ability. Last Week 10A and 10B students entered the workforce as part of our Work Based Learning programme. This opportunity provides students with valuable first-hand experience in an industry they are in interested in pursuing in the future. It has been enjoyable to hear about the vast range of experiences our boys are having and skills they have gained. Most impressive is the positive feedback I have received from employers around the boys’ positive attitude and application towards work. As this opportunity comes to an end, I encourage each boy to reflect on his experience as they make decisions that will inform their career pathway.
