Fathers Day

We would like to wish all the fathers and father figures in our community a Happy Father’s Day for Sunday September.

Art / Specialist Gala

We can not thank you all enough for such a wonderful night. What a turn out! It was amazing, the vibe, the excitement, the showcasing and the generous bidding - we thank you all. We made over $3000, which will go directly to your children’s learning. We thank all the staff who pulled the night together. All our staff attending had a ball!! To see our community connections was worth the hard work.

Science Week

This week is National Science Week. It is an opportunity for everyone to be surrounded by science. It is a chance to acknowledge the contributions of Australian scientists to the world of knowledge and to appreciate science being all around us. We have had a ball - creating, discovering and investigating.

Book week & Grandparents Day

Thank you to our amazing Grandparents who read with children and shared morning tea on Monday. Book week has brought children and books together across Australia through CBCA Book Week since 1945. Our parade was full of children and educators dressed as their favourite book character.

Welcome

Welcome Laura Jane, our Co-Deputy Principal of One Heart. Laura and Jarryd will work across both schools - Laura as Faith Leader and Jarryd as Learning and Teaching Leader. Laura Jane begins this Friday 26th August.

Confirmation

We wish the following children Mathias Fernandez, Diego D'Auria, Nathan Gualano a beautiful Confirmation celebration on Sunday 3rd September.

STUDENTS NOT RETURNING IN 2023

It’s hard to believe but we are already planning towards 2023. Before we begin the process of looking at next year’s class lists it is important to know who will not be returning next year. If your child is not returning in 2023 (other than Year 6 students), please let the office know.

As some of our classes are at, or near, capacity for 2023, if you are aware of other families or friends that are considering enrolling their child or children in 2023, they are strongly encouraged to contact the school and make a time for an enrolment discussion as soon as possible.

In the coming weeks we will begin the process of class placements taking into consideration the varying needs of each child within the school. We believe it is important that we have as much information about each child, to ensure that all their needs are fully considered throughout this process.

2022 School Fees

Thank you to all our families who have ensured their payment of fees is up to date. Please note, all school fees are due to be paid in full by the end 2/9/2022.

MACSSIS

In 2022, our school is participating in the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools listen to the thoughts and feelings Yrs 4, 5 & 6 students, families throughout the school and staff have about how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne. One of the main goals of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. The survey is available online, can be accessed from Monday, 29th August and needs to be completed by Friday, 16th September, 2022. Please look out for your MACSSIS email in the week beginning August 29th.

Closure day

Reminder: NO SCHOOL FRIDAY 26th August, teachers will be focusing on Faith and the diversity of Faith within our world connecting to Land and spirituality. WE are supported on this day by Sherry from Aboriginal Catholic ministry and Wurundjeri Council- Uncle Ringo.

CAMERAS

Cameras will be installed on the building in the next coming weeks as a security measure. This was approved and endorsed by the School Advisory Council on 23rd August 2023.
