PDHPE

During Term 3 in PDHPE students have begun working through a unit that explores the Peer and Social influences on health. The focus of the unit will have students investigate the influences on young drivers, online gambling and excessive technology use.

Students will work through a range of activities and conduct research to identify personal and group protective strategies that will ultimately lead to positive outcomes.

During upcoming lessons, students will participate in an interactive activity where they explore the dangers of distractions from mobile phones or other devices whilst driving. Already, they have attempted to navigate through various tasks on their phone whilst completing a driving circuit of the game Mario Kart. Students were quickly able to recognise the challenges that were faced and outline the dangers by engaging in such behaviours.

Year 11 PDHPE

Recently, Year 11 students completed a unit on the Body in Motion where they have studied body systems, training principles and biomechanics. Below are images of students identifying and labelling bones on each other in an attempt to build visual memories of the local of major bones involved in movement.
