Principal's Message

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Congratulations to our Confirmation candidates who received this Sacrament of initiation last Thursday evening. I would like to thank and congratulate them all for their conscientious preparation to receive this Sacrament. We are very grateful we were able to hold this event under the current restrictions.

Let us pray that this group of children will be able to keep the Spirit alive within by calling on the gifts and fruits of the Spirit when the need arises in their lives.  We all must endeavour to be open to the Spirit to deal with the challenges we face in the world today.

First Eucharist

As communicated to our parents in Year 4 and 5 we have rescheduled our First Eucharist dates to Sunday 15th August and Sunday 29th August. There will be two masses celebrated on each day; 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

 Concert Update

Given the recent lockdown and the capping on audience numbers at Crossways we have had to adapt this year's planned concert to work around current guidelines and restrictions. We were so looking forward to the challenge of putting on another show to the same standard as our 2019 extravaganza.

Our staff feel strongly about the importance of giving our students the opportunity and experience to be involved in the process and delivery of a concert item and so we will be proceeding with an adapted version of this event.

The concert will now take place early in Term 4 (date to be advised). It will be pre-recorded at school and we will distribute the concert in digital form to families to view in their own time.

Swimming Program

Our swimming program is still on track to proceed. It is a nine day intensive program commencing on Monday 23rd August and concluding on Thursday 2nd. Permission forms will be sent via Operoo next week.

Year 4 Camp

Our Year 4 students will be heading off on a three day camp to beautiful Marysville from 18th - 20th August. The purpose of this camp is develop independence and resilience, develop teamwork skills and develop an appreciation for the outdoors. It's sure to be loads of fun and.... who knows......... we may even get some snow!!

Engagement News

Congratulations to Emily Faella, one of our Year 5/6 teachers, on the announcement of her recent engagement to her partner Ben. We wish them continued happiness as they share their life together. Happy wedding planning!

Home School Communication

If you are not receiving Flexischools communications from school we would ask that you check your phone to ensure that your child is linked to their current class group. If you would like assistance, please don't hesitate to contact the office.

2022 Prep Enrolments

Enrolments for Prep 2022 are now being accepted. If you have a child commencing school next year and you are yet to submit an enrolment form we would ask that you do so as soon as possible.

Take care everyone
