Co-Curricular Update

Mr Cadd

Primary Gymnastics

Students have been training hard in preparation for the competition in the last week of term.  A huge thank you to the time that Mrs McFadden and her team have given up to prepare the team. We are in need of some second hand leotards - if you have one at home and are happy to sell it, please contact Mrs McFadden.

Primary Netball

Has been rescheduled for next Friday.  Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to coach, the secondary students who have put their hand up to umpire and to Ms Pascoe for coordinating.  Good luck to all students in the competition.

Secondary Co-curricular Activities

Students are encouraged to regularly check the notices for activities that are run at lunchtimes and after school (see the article below for more information).  Some of the activities on offer this term include:

  • maths club
  • Italian club
  • mountain biking
  • athletics training
  • weights room (before, during and after school)
  • debating
  • assisting with the primary co-curricular program

It has been so pleasing to see the number of secondary students who have given up their lunchtimes to assist with the primary co-curricular program.  I know that the primary staff and students all appreciate the assistance and expertise!

Moama Anglican Grammar Secondary Golf Academy

Last week was the first session of the academy at Rich River Golf Club. Students played a number of holes and focused on speed of play, shot selection and etiquette.  They then had a two hole competition which was won by Rhylee Chapman who was one under! In the putting competition, Toby Cadd came out the best with the flat stick. Over the coming weeks students will be working with golf professional Ben Patten. We thank Rich River Golf Club for their support with this program.
