Language Perfect World Championships

From 27 August to 3 September this year, countless dedicated language students took part in the Education Perfect Language Championships. Whether they participated at school during allotted time in Language classes or in the Languages Hub at lunchtime, or at home, these students have worked tirelessly to achieve their new best and to further their language studies and capabilities.

This championship is both fun and competitive and creates an opportunity for growth and a chance to win wonderful prices.

Our winner this year was Amy Chy-Long  (Year 9), who achieved the incredible score of 14,801 points! It was a fight to the finish for very close second and third places.  Congratulations to Alyssa Barrow (Year 9) with 11, 674 points and Amelia Scott (Year 10) with 11, 331 points.

Well done to all of the students who partook in the competition! You all did wonderfully and your efforts are absolutely recognised.

This week has been spent competing in the 2019 Education Perfect Language Championships. It took a lot of time, hard work and sleepless nights to reach elite but it has been a blast and completely worth it!

As well as improving our Italian and Japanese, we learnt many other languages like French, German, Spanish and even Samoan! We highly encourage everyone to compete in next year’s championships and we wish you all good luck in reaching 10,000 points!
