New Staff

 Welcome to Greensborough College!

Please welcome our newest staff members

Ciao! I recently joined Greensborough College in the Languages (Italian) and Humanities departments, and have loving being a part of the team so far.

It took a while for me to figure out that I wanted to teach as a profession, but after completing the first teaching placement of my Masters course, I knew it was a role that I wanted to learn and grow in. My own studies and experiences with students in the classroom continue to foster my strong passion for education, and I am excited about the experiences that await at Greensborough.

Outside of teaching, I'm a keen environmentalist and am doing my best to be zero-waste. I love doing crafty activities like film photography and embroidery, and playing lots of sport. I started playing AFL this year, and in 2017 & 2019 I competed in the World Cheerleading Championships in the USA.

I'm very much looking forward to getting to know the staff and students in the GC community!

"Hi everyone, my name is James Hewson and I'm recent mid-year graduate from RMIT University.

I will be teaching Health and Physical Education in terms 3 and 4.

My interests are playing and coaching footy (AFL), playing golf, personal training/instructing fitness classes.

I'm also an ex-Greensborough student who graduated at the college in 2016.

I'm very excited to be back, as this school and community gave me so much as a student and I hope to give the same experience to the next generations of students."
