Spotlight on SMC tutors

Rebekah, our awesome string tutor, has been working with St Mary's College students for the past 18 years. She is a dedicated teacher and works hard to bring out the best in all her students. 

Rebekah graduated from the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music and has performed professionally in orchestras, musicals and string ensembles. 

Violin is Rebekah’s main instrument (she knew she wanted to play it from Year 8), but she also tutors in viola and cello at a number of schools in the Hobart area. She loves playing violin and teaches a number of styles from classical to jazz to contemporary (she has even dabbled in playing Irish and Scottish folk music).

SMC Voices rehearsals 

All music groups have recommenced, and invitations are extended to any Senior School students who would like to be part of SMC Voices to attend rehearsals on Thursdays at lunchtime.
