2020 TCE external assessments

While TCE external assessments will go ahead in 2020, some adjustments have been made recognising that, so far, this has been an extraordinary year for our students. Exams can be stressful at the best of times, so student wellbeing has been at the centre of these decisions.

All 2020 external assessment adjustments have now been finalised, except for English 3, and Maths and Science courses, which will be available ASAP.

Details of all external assessments can be found on the TASC website.

For more information, please speak with our teaching staff - we are committed to ensuring our students still have access to every opportunity for their future.

Metro free bus travel extended

The current Metro bus services free travel period has been extended until Sunday 5 July, to give passengers still using cash time to get a free Greencard for contactless payment.

Students without a smartcard can apply for one from their bus operator (where available) during the fare amnesty. Students who travel on a school bus that does not have a cashless ticketing option are encouraged to purchase a 10-trip ticket to minimise the frequency of cash handling on the bus when the fare amnesty has ended.

Parents and carers can also purchase these from the operator’s sales office or depot location. Learn more by visiting the Metro Tasmania website here.

School drop-off and pick-up

With students now back at school for Term 2, we wish to remind parents and carers to park responsibly during drop-off and pick-up.

Please ensure your child knows the arrangement for how they will be collected. If you are wanting to make a collection by car in Harrington Street, please place a clearly visible sign in the passenger side corner of your front windscreen with the name and class of the student you are collecting.

Full instructions on Junior School pick-up and drop-off requirements are available to read on the College website via this link
