Notice from CommBank School Banking
The health, safety and wellbeing of our communities and our people is our first priority. Due to the rapidly developing situation with coronavirus, School Banking has been temporarily paused until further notice. Please don’t bring your deposit book with your weekly banking into school and we will notify you when banking will recommence.
The CSEF is an annual payment to the school to be used towards camps, sports and/or excursion expenses.
Applications for 2020 are now open and will close on 26 June (end of Term 2). For concession card holders CSEF eligibility will be subject to the parent/legal guardian's concession card being successfully validated with Centrelink. CSEF application forms can be collected from the school office.

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge
All students at Langwarrin Primary School are encouraged to participate in The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge (PRC). The PRC is open to all Victorian children from birth to Year 10 in recognition of the importance of reading for literacy development. It is not a competition; but a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by 4 September, 2020.
I have registered our school and all students in every grade in the PRC. We started this challenge in March.
Children from Prep to Year 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers. Children from Year 3 to Year 6 are challenged to read 15 books.
All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers. In Term 4, these certificates will be sent to our school and then classroom teachers will be given these certificates to hand to their students.
